*Subject to validation If you are interested in preventing diseases and improving the health and welfare of animals based on a strong understanding of the scientific principles behind them, then this is the course for you. This route can lead to a vast range of roles working alongside vets and veterinary paraprofessionals in research and diagnostic laboratory environments. Key areas of study typically include biotechnology, microbiology, nutrition, disease science and disease control strategies. In addition, you will focus on the global animal health industry, understanding the emergence and transmission of animal diseases, and their risk to other animals and humans. You will spend time in our state-of-the-art teaching laboratories, on- campus farm and Companion Animal House applying skills whilst gaining subject specific knowledge in classroom-based studies. The course will also introduce business management in relevance to working within animal related industries. It is an industry I can use my Bioveterinary Science degree to make a difference in," says Rebecca. Having travelled the globe, Rebecca is back firmly on Harper soil to finish her degree. “Studying at Harper Adams is unexplainable, it’s amazing.
