Eleanor Gilbert, third year BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Crop Management student and Countryfile’s Young Countryside Champion of the Year, got ‘hands-on’ with our Hands Free Farm in 2021 when it featured on BBC’s Countryfile. "There’s always something new [at Harper]” says Eleanor. “You get to use so many different facilities – such as the Hands Free Farm. I think [the project] is going to attract technically savvy people into the industry; because there is such a shortage. Hoping to inject the agriculture sector with new talent and innovations, the 10-week programme is fully funded and is gearing up for its third cohort of businesses in Spring 2023.
