Harper Adams University - Prospectus 2024

For many, this might be your first time living away from home – and we recognise this can be both an exciting and daunting time! However, managing money and a budget is often a steep learning curve. If you ever find yourself financially struggling, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Student Services. Here we can help find the best grants or funds for you, including Adult Dependants and Childcare Grants, Disabled Students' Allowances, Maintenance Grants (for those outside England) or an Access to Learning Fund. The majority of this support doesn’t need to be paid back but, in some cases, we might offer you a short-term interest free loan, depending on your circumstances. Because we believe in the incredible abilities of our students, we have several scholarships available to you. Although you can’t apply for these before your study begins, we’ll always contact you about scholarships you’re eligible for and support you through the application process. Throughout the 2021/2022 academic year, more than £500,000 worth of scholarships were awarded to more than 130 students – perfect for buying some much needed equipment etc. Many of our students find work in and around Newport/Telford but we also have some amazing opportunities on site. You can try your hand at farming, work alongside our catering team, pull a pint in the SU bar or even apply for a Student Ambassador position – there is plenty to choose from. If you live internationally and would like to apply, then you’ve come to the right place! On our website you’ll find all the information you need to get started, including visa guidance, our admissions support, and entry requirements. You can also find out more on page 102 .
