Harper Adams University - Prospectus 2024

Application guide - finance We know that when you are planning for university, you will be thinking about the financial side of things and how you are going to fund your degree. The most significant cost, and one you’ve probably heard a lot about, is the Tuition Fee - sometimes called the University Fee. This fee covers things like classes, access to tutors and other staff, the library and use of our wider facilities and online systems. Alongside the University Fee, you’ll also need to think about your accommodation costs and other expenses, such as books, equipment and trips! At Harper Adams, we understand that this might be one of the more daunting aspects of university life, which is why we’re always on hand to help! There is plenty of useful information on our website or, if you fancy a more human conversation, you can telephone our wonderful support teams for advice. Of course, if you want to learn more about what exactly your University Fee covers, any additional costs or how and when to make payments, you can take a look at our handy Fees and Charges brochure here . You’ll also receive a electronic copy of this brochure when you are offered a place with us! First things first; you don’t have to borrow anything if you don’t want to. A Tuition Loan is optional, but available to apply for if you need any help covering the full course costs. This loan is awarded regardless of your family circumstances and is paid directly to the university – so you never need to worry about transferring it to us. As well as the Tuition Loan, you can also apply for a Maintenance Loan – this is to help with things like rent, food, travel or any trips/ societies you might want to take part in! Unlike the Tuition Loan, this is based on household income and is paid directly into your chosen bank account at the start of each term. What you are eligible for depends entirely on your household earnings and can change year on year – anything not covered by the loan should be supported by parental contributions, savings, grants, scholarships etc. If you're not used to budgeting, don't worry, our Student Services team are always on hand for financial advice.
