Harper Adams University - Prospectus 2024

living Open Space The wonderful thing about a large rural campus is the expansive grounds you can enjoy – whether you want to study outdoors, have a kick- about, relax on Bradford lawn, eat lunch on a picnic bench, watch the ducks’ antics down by one of the ponds or build a snowman – or snow tractor – on the main lawn, we have the space you need when a change of pace is required. DiningHall Located inside Queen Mother Hall, this community-feel dining room serves three meals per day to all our catered students. From chilli with nachos, traditional pies and pastries to cheesecakes and waffles, there is always a choice of three main courses at QMH – along with healthy, vegetarian and vegan options too. FromMonday to Friday: Breakfast: 7.30am-9am Lunch: 12pm-1.30pm Dinner: 6pm-7.30pm (Wednesday 5pm-6.30pm) Health Care When you arrive, you will be asked to register with the doctors’ surgery located on campus — so, if you need it, medical treatment is only a ten minute walk away. Surgeries are held every weekday lunchtime, however, during university holidays, remain closed. Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to visit your doctor at home as a temporary resident during the summer break. Costa Coffee Located in the Agri-Tech Innovation Hub on the south side of campus, Costa is one of three cafes on site. You'll find it open from 8am to 3pmMonday-Friday. Graze Café Does hot and cold food, made to order baguettes, homemade meals using produce from the Harper Farm sound good? Then you’ll have to pay our Graze Café a visit. Open from 8am to 2pm Monday-Friday term time only. Wi-Fi Free Wi-Fi is available to all students — simply use your student log-in to access Eduroam across campus. Parking There are plenty of parking spaces available across campus – most conveniently located by our halls of residence. However, with plenty of gorgeous farm land to explore – and only a ten minute stroll between one end of site to the other – we always recommend taking the time to walk to lectures if you can. If you do wish to drive, or have a car of your own, parking is free throughout. IT services For all your IT needs, our IT Helpdesk is located on the first floor of the library and is available 9am-5pm every weekday. The Feed Store The Feed Store is our on-site shop, handily located in the Faccenda building. With a range of groceries, drinks and snacks, it’s the perfect place to grab something if you’re running low. And the best bit? It’s open seven days a week! Harper Gym Still planning on working on your PB while at university? Then our Harper gym is the perfect place for you! Our well-equipped fitness suite is constantly being improved, with yearly memberships available from the Students Union. HARPER.AC.UK | 109
