I amolder? Not coming to university straight from school or college? That’s okay. You won’t be alone. Whether you have taken, three, four or 20 years out, you are as welcome as anyone else to apply to study at Harper! Depending on how long ago you were last in education, your qualifications might not seem like they match up to our entry requirements – or maybe it’s your life experiences that prepare you for a degree here? Whatever your skills, our admissions team are on hand to help you find and join the right path – be it a foundation, ordinary, honours or postgraduate degree. It’s natural to feel nervous about starting or returning to higher education, but most of our mature students say that once they have started they become just another class mate ready and passionate to learn! I already have experience inmy field? Great – you’ll bring new perspectives to the classroom. Learning is all the better for a wider range of experiences. What’s more, if your experience checks all the right boxes, we won’t need you to complete a placement year, meaning you can obtain your qualification a year sooner than those who might not have had the chance to gain work experience. I don’t want tomove onto the campus? Don’t worry, we won’t take it personally! Although Harper is home to most of our undergraduate students, we understand campus life is not for everyone. There are plenty of nearby towns and villages that offer accommodation or you could even commute from home if you wished. But just because you’re commuting doesn’t mean you miss out. Any off-campus students have a base in our Faccenda building (as well as bookable study spaces across campus), where they can make drinks, snacks, study and enjoy some downtime. Our Student Advisors just happen to be right next door to the chill-out zone, so why not take advantage of that fact and gather a few pointers? We welcome applications from international students and have the expertise here to guide you through our study requirements – be that passing English language tests, securing the right visa or even meeting the entry grades. Once you have accepted a place at Harper Adams, we can offer support to organise your accommodation, to book on to pre- sessional programmes, advise on travel and more.
