Entry requirements Requirements vary for each programme of study but generally the minimum requirement for postgraduate courses for UK and EU applicants is a lower second class honours (2:2) degree, or FdSc/HND with three years relevant experience, or equivalent. Evidence of your previous qualifications is required. However, we do look at all applications on merit and applicants with equivalent experience who can demonstrate working at graduate level are encouraged to apply. Courses begin mid September. Subject to available places on the course, the deadline for UK and EU applications is the end of July in the year you wish to begin your studies. Late applications will be considered but we cannot guarantee a place on the course of your choice. How do I apply? This is not so much an interview as discussion to advise applicants of their options and the suitability of your chosen course. All overseas applicants will be expected to take part in a video interview. Joining instructions If you have been made an offer, you will be sent a joining pack, which will include details such as term dates, student finance information, TV licenses, car parking and other useful details. Deferring If you are offered a place but wish to defer your entry on to the course, you must obtain prior written approval from the postgraduate office. International applications Subject to available places on the course, the deadline for overseas applications is the end of June in the year you wish to begin your studies. International applicants must hold a qualification of equal standing to a UK honours degree as advised by the National Recognition Information Centre for the UK (NARIC UK). All overseas applicants must also provide evidence of competence in the use of written and spoken English. For postgraduate courses, we accept IELTS. The test results must be no more than two years old and, from April 2015, be taken at an official test centre. The following scores represent the English language level accepted by Harper Adams University: IELTS: 6.0 (average, with no less than 5.5 in any of four components). Further information about English language requirements: harper.ac.uk/eng-lang Tier 4 visas You must be fully aware of the requirements of application for a Tier 4 visa, including, but not exclusively; sufficient funds in your bank account for 28 days prior to application (or access to funds in another account, or a valid financial sponsorship letter), accurate documentation including valid passport, original (and translated) qualification certificates, proof of English language ability, ATAS clearance (where advised) and proof of a clear TB test. All candidates must have a suitable undergraduate degree (minimum 2:1 or equivalent), although consideration will also be given to good students with a 2:2 degree who also have relevant experience.
